MY FUTURE SMART SCIENCE CLASSROOM

Learning does not only happen inside the classroom. We learn everyday and everywhere. We learn most of the things from interaction alone thus, as a future educator, I always dreamed of a smart,interactive, science classroom. An interactive atmosphere can be made possible through interactive activities but never a smart interactive one. IoT (Internet of Things) devices helps create a smart interactive science classroom that I want. 

SMARTBOARDS

Smartboards, also known as interactive white boards is a tool used to replace chalkboards. It is a large,touchscreen computer that performs various tasks and operations. Smartboards have three main features that makes it engaging to the students: touch recognition, pen tray, and notebook software. 

Through these unique features of smartboards, teachers and students are allowed to manipulate whatever is shown in the screen through the touch recognnition. Students can also write in the boards through the pen tray. Notebook software enables students to access the same things with what the teacher has posted. Typically, through this smart board, teachers and students have the same workspace and collaborate in real time which makes it more engaging. Of course, these smartboards need software applications to work.

LOILONOTE

Just flexin' LoiLoNote together with the CEO of the LoiLo Inc.

LoiloNote is a collaboration, presentation, and classroom management app for classroom settings. It facilitates the real time collaboration with fellow students and teachers via Wi-Fi.

I experienced first-hand the features of LoiLoNote and it was really great! Teachers can watch you do your work virtually and other students can see your outputs  in which  sharing or exchanging of information is emphasized.
